Previous Case Study

In October 2009 a UK based client commissioned us to develop and install a new content management system into their website http://www.ladybutterflies.com

The website already had an existing CMS however, due to the many technological advances in search engine friendly content management software since the launch of their escort website it was evidently obvious that their online business was under performing in Google, Yahoo and Bing.

The client did not want any alterations to be made to the front end interface (the skin). Of principle importance to the client was that the new CMS had to be seamlessly integrated into all existing features and components of the website without any loss of existing functionality.

The principle weaknesses in the existing CMS that needed to be addressed by the new content management system software
•    The CMS script should utilize mod rewrite to enable the webmaster to generate search engine friendly urls on the fly for escort profiles and regional galleries.
•    Script must generate static web pages.
•    New web pages should be search engine friendly and not use dynamic session parameters in urls.
•    Content management system should support unique meta tags editing of all web pages.
•    To support the SEO strategy the script must have its own articles publishing feature installed to provide the easy creation and publishing of keyword rich optimised secondary content.
•    The script should automatically update a Google friendly xml sitemap when new web pages are published.
•    To improve the crawl ability of the website; each time a new primary web page is published the script must automatically insert into the footer a text link leading to the internal web page.
•    Existing HTML 4.01 skin must be cloned and reproduced using XHTML.
•    The script should be robust, reliable and user friendly.

Our programming team made some minor alterations and tweaks to our own in house content management system while our web design team cloned the website using XHTML. The conclusion was that we installed a new custom built CMS into the client’s website and successfully addressed all of the principle weaknesses (listed above) that were inherent in her old content management system.
